Sugar Coated Peanuts

On Saturday, May 28th the Relief Society had a homemaking activity with Sister Malabi demonstrating how to make sugar coated peanuts.
The activity was held in a porch/sunroom area of the Church.
We also use this room for the Primary nursery.
It's the only room without air-conditioning and gets very warm at times.

Sister Frogley gave a lesson teaching the women the importance of an orderly home.

The peanuts were put in these big pans and covered with water and then the sugar was just poured over top.  They were allowed to come to a boil and the sugar start to carmelize around the edges before Sister Malabi began stirring them.  The sugar here is light brown in color and is almost like a mixture of white and brown and can be used as both.

The end result was yummy!!!
